At the start of 2020 Covid-19 began to spread across the globe. in March the British Prime Minister asked the counrty to:

'Stay at Home, Protect the NHS and Save Lives'.

While out walking with his family for essential trips and daily exercise, Matthew photographed his home town of Godalming, Surrey and the people in it, always
from a distance.

An exhibition was held May 6th - 17th  2025 at Godalming Museum.
